About our Organization
The Assessment Resource Center is an assessment and research service center within the College of Education at the University of Missouri. The organization includes 25 full-time staff and numerous affiliates and contracted staff. The ARC has served a variety of data-collection and evaluation projects in the state of Missouri since the mid-1930s and across the nation for over 25 years. ARC’s research division staff has many years’ experience designing and administering surveys, conducting focus groups, and evaluating programs for clients in government, education, and non-profit organizations. For example, the ARC completed a study for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education that involved 23 focus groups and 20,000 surveys of students, parents, principals, and others regarding the effects of NCLB-mandated testing. In addition to researchers, staff includes 8 IT experts who use a variety of software and programming languages to develop, monitor, and maintain secure databases. The ARC has advanced technical capability for delivering web-based surveys. IT staff can construct customized surveys that provide all the flexibility the proposed evaluation requires, beyond what typical survey software are able to provide, with high security. Staff has extensive experience retrieving and cleaning data from a variety of entities.
Position Title: Senior Program / Project Support Coordinator
Job Description:
The Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator will design, plan, lead diverse and highly complex evaluation and analytical studies that support and facilitate planning, policy research, policy development, evaluation, and decision-making activities at senior levels within the University of Missouri and also with external parties. The Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator will:
The Senior Program / Project Support Coordinator will work with a team to:
• Design and conduct research and evaluation studies on a variety of issues and policies. Report findings and recommendations in an objective manner.
• Design and develop questionnaires for evaluation studies, design and implement methods of data collection, and determine appropriate analyses. Analyze, interpret, and report research findings.
• Design project tasks, timelines, and budgets, and coordinate these with client and across internal units.
• Liaison with clients over project progress, deliverables, and time/method of delivery.
• Design qualitative/quantitative data collection, implement collection, analyze, and objectively report findings.
• Collect and interpret statistical and analytical information and prepare periodic reports for clients.
• Collect and analyze information for senior administrators and prepare necessary reports.
• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise staff on project tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree in a relevant discipline requiring evidence of mastery of research skills and quantitative or qualitative analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required. Demonstrated use of statistical and survey software such as SPSS, Qualtrics, SAS, etc. Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and spoken.
